TAN NGUYEN ANNOUNCES THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SPECIAL WEB SITE www.dumpsanchez.com AND THE POSTING OF THOUSANDS OF SIGNS THROUGHOUT DISTRICT 47 CALLING ATTENTION TO THIS WEBSITE.
Tan Nguyen, candidate for California’s Congressional 47th District, announces that a special website has been established by his campaign for the specific purpose of focusing attention on the fact that Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez accepts money from Defense contractors while she sits on the Armed Services Committee. Tan believes the main issue in the Congressional race is corruption.
The web site also includes a history of Ms. Sanchez’s activities undertaken against Tan Nguyen. These activities include meeting PRIVATELY with former Attorney General Lockyer a day before the State Police were ordered by Lockyer to disrupt Tan’s pre-announced scheduled news conference by raiding Tan’s home and office. The justification for the raids was on the basis of an alleged letter which was supposed to intimidate voters. Seven months later the same Attorney General’s office (with a new Attorney General) quietly announced that there had been no intimidation letter, but a letter informing non citizens that they could not vote.
Ms. Sanchez subsequently introduced a bill in Congress to retroactively declare Tan guilty of sending this non existent letter. When the senate leadership became aware of the facts, the bill was pulled.
Ms. Sanchez has called repeatedly for investigations and prosecution of Tan. The House Ethics committee is currently investigating Sanchez on unrelated issues.
